In the way of our dig, this boulder caused us to shift our plans slightly. Fortunately, the homeowner wants to keep it.

Today we are tearing down a structure that can cause a lot of dust and we needed some temp employees to spray the debris with a hose to ensure the dust wasn’t getting everywhere. These two proved to be quite the helpers. They are pictured here on their break.

Newly replaced (more blueish green) pipe. This one took awhile to get in here with all the other utilities in the area. The utilities installed surrounding the original sewer line were part of the problem of this pipe’s failure. Why were we not just able to go around, above, or below? When we replace sewer pipes, we have to do some math to make sure the slope of the pipe is good. A flat pipe didn’t drain. And too many twists and turns create more areas for potential clogs in the future. We often replace the sewer line in its existing path or change it a bit to create a better slope for better drainage.

We were trusted to replace the sewer line under this beautiful garden yesterday. The only thing that we impacted was one petal off of one yellow tulip.

A.C.’s complete review states, “Excellent experience from beginning to end. The company had been recommended by a plumbing business that I trust. Very clear explanations as to what work was needed & how. Options & costs given. Extremely hard workers! I have to say that what impressed me the most was how my landscaping was left in such good condition afterwards. It didn’t even look like anybody had been there. Yet a lot of dirt and a small tree had been excavated & pavers moved. Really very impressed overall. Highly recommend.”

“If it’s Nalley’s, it’s good” jar- today’s artifact found underneath our job site on the east side. Do you know that Nalley’s started in Tacoma in 1918? And that’s why we call it “Nalley Valley?” I wonder how old this jar is, and what was in it. Any guesses?
