I have been seeing some negative publications on the Laundromat. I apologize for our customers having to go through this situation.
Last weekend, the restaurant next to the laundromat opened. It appears that they are being successful with the restaurant. This is great.
I went to the restaurant owner to discuss the parking issues, and the response was, “There is nothing I can do. “The problem is that the restaurant customers are impacting my business by parking in the laundromat parking spaces for my customers.
The situation has escalated to the point where the restaurant's customers are parking in our spaces and displaying rude behavior towards my employees. This has led to our customers having to park in the school district lot and on Wood, inconveniencing them by having to carry their laundry across the street.
Recognizing the gravity of the situation, I promptly reached out to the Sumner PD and my attorney. We have taken significant steps to address the problem, including the installation of signs in parking spaces and 'Laundromat Customer Only' “A” boards. Despite these measures, I personally had to intervene with two individuals. We are also planning to install towing company signs this week to further deter unauthorized parking.
Today, I had a lady who understood and moved her car to the street. That was a breath of fresh air.
I need to operate my business and provide parking for my customers. I will have a security person monitor our lot.
Again, we hope this will correct our parking issue for our customers.
