A Heartfelt Farewell to Our Clients and Friends
I founded The Whole House in 2021 after a terminal illness and series of autoimmune issues impacted my family—I set out to build the lifeline I wish I had available during the months my husband was bedridden and the chores were piling unattended. It has always been my hope that this company would provide a welcomed similar solution for those who shared our chemical sensitivities, while making the transition to non toxic living just a tad easier on those getting started. It has been one of the greatest joys to watch those hopes come to fruition.
Within four months of launching, we discovered that the root cause of our health issues and chemical sensitivities stemmed from hidden mold within the walls of our home. Through the shock, losses, four subsequent moves, and setbacks, our dedicated team and wonderful clients have been the brightest light, somehow bringing purpose to the madness. Yet in our attempt to get our home remediated, we were faced with an all too familiar dilemma—we could not find a company that understood the severity of the issue. And thus, a new remediation company was born.
For the past year, I have been splitting my time between both companies, while giving whatever leftover pieces I had to my family. As much as I have thoroughly delighted in each of my roles, I have realized that this trajectory is unsustainable for much longer. After a wonderful couple of years serving our clients, a time has come for me to reevaluate my commitments and ultimately retire The Whole House. It is a goodbye that I never intended to make, but necessary all in the same.
The Whole House will officially be closing as of September 1st.
I could not close this door without first telling all of you how grateful I am for you. Whether you called us out to prepare for a new baby, gifted us to a friend in their season of difficulty, or welcomed us into your home to share in your day to day life, your presence here has meant more to me than than words can convey. Thank you for opening your door to us. We couldn’t have done it without you!
Warmest regards,
