Here's the sanding and buffing supplies we'll be using to remove the orange peel and create a swirl-free finish.

The magic is always in the first step and for wet sanding by hand we will be using the Nikken Finishing Papers, which are NOT an automotive wet/dry but an electronics grade sandpaper. The quality and design control are so good Nikken calls these FINISHING papers, not SAND papers.

After hand sanding, then we'll switch over to the Super Buflex sanding discs to refine the hand sanding marks to make them easier and faster to buff out while continuing to flatten the paint surface. For this step we will be using cordless DA Sanders from FLEX.

And then we'll follow the sanding by cutting hard with 8" wool pads on rotary polishers.

We will follow the rotary step by switching over to gear-driven oribtals to remove the holograms from the fibers of the wool pads and then we'll do a final finishing step switching over to free spinning, random orbital polishrs.

And lastly, we'll seal the deal with a ceramic coating.

Stay tuned, after the class we'll share the final results.

No Chairs. ZERO Sitting. 100% Hands-on!

For those signed-up and taking the upcoming sanding class, here's some pictures to show you the level of Orange Peel you'll be tackling on Sunday, September 20th at Dr. Beasley's in Stuart, Florida.

Orange Peel and other Surface Texture is normal with a repaint but this is why the painter sprays extra coats of clear.

The hand wetsanding step will flatten the surface.

The machine dry sanding step will refine the hand sanding scratches to make them easier to buff out and he end results will be a Mirror Finish.

We're about two weeks out - see you here!

HOW FAR WOULD YOU TRAVEL TO TAKE A CAR DETAILING CLASS? 🌎✈️🚗

Take a close look at this map.

Every line represents someone who made the decision to travel to Stuart, Florida to attend one of my hands-on car detailing classes.

And they're not just coming from around Florida.

People have traveled here from more than 25 states across the USA—and from countries around the world, including Canada, Argentina, Colombia, Portugal, the Bahamas, and Trinidad & Tobago.

Think about what that really means.

For many of these people, attending one of my classes means paying for:

✈️ Airfare
🏨 Hotel
🚗 Rental car
🍔 Meals on the road
🎓 Plus the price of the class

That is a serious investment of money, time and effort.

So why are people willing to travel thousands of miles to attend?

Because these are NOT your typical detailing classes.

NO CHAIRS.

ZERO SITTING.

NO BORING POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS.

From the time we start until the time we finish, these classes are 100% HANDS-ON.

And here's another HUGE difference...

NO DEMO HOODS. NO TEST PANELS.

I bring in REAL CARS.

And not just one or two.

I bring in a LOT of cars so you get experience working on different paints, different body styles, different shapes and different materials.

🔥 Classic Muscle Cars
🔥 Street Rods
🔥 Special Interest Cars
🔥 Modern Cars
🔥 Neglected Cars that need REAL correction

Why?

Because you don't detail a demo hood in the real world.

You detail CARS.

Cars have curves, body lines, edges, thin panels, plastic trim, emblems, grills, glass, tight areas and all the other challenges you're going to encounter when you're working in your own garage or detailing for money.

That's why I believe the best way to learn car detailing is to GET YOUR HANDS ON THE TOOLS AND GET YOUR HANDS ON REAL CARS.

Compounding.

Polishing.

Paint correction.

Machine sanding.

Hand sanding.

Ceramic coatings.

Glass polishing.

Plastic trim.

And most importantly—learning how to choose and use the right tools, pads, products and techniques for the car sitting in front of you.

When someone is willing to get on an airplane, fly across the country—or across an OCEAN—pay for a hotel, rent a car, buy meals on the road and pay the price of admission...

I owe them more than a chair and a PowerPoint presentation.

I owe them an EXPERIENCE.

I owe them REAL TRAINING.

And I owe them the opportunity to flatten the learning curve by doing the work themselves—with their own two hands.

The map tells the story.

People don't travel this far to sit in a chair.

They travel this far to LEARN. 💪😎

No chairs. No demo hoods. No boring PowerPoint.

JUST REAL TOOLS. REAL CARS. REAL HANDS-ON TRAINING.

Last class for this year is September 18th through the 20th. Get signed up on the Dr. Beasley's website.

Check out the pictures below, you can see all the training cars for the upcoming class including a 1963 Split Window Corvette that will be here for Sub-Surface Glass Polishing to remove the WIPER SCRATCHES OUT OF THE WINDSHIELD!

EXTREME Vinyl Top Cleaning! Machine Scrubbing a Barn Find 1971 Buick Skylark

⚠️ IMPORTANT WARNING

This is an EXTREME technique for a SEVERELY NEGLECTED WHITE vinyl top.

I would NEVER use this combination of machine scrubbing and Soft Scrub with Bleach on a vinyl top that's already in good condition.

I also would NOT use Soft Scrub with Bleach on a colored vinyl top. The product itself is white and contains bleach, so staining, discoloration or other unwanted changes are possible.

For vinyl tops in good condition, stick with the normal and much safer approach — a dedicated vinyl-top cleaner and hand scrubbing with an appropriate brush.

And if you decide to experiment with this technique on your own project, you're doing so at your own risk. You are responsible for your own actions and results.

Bringing a Barn Find Vinyl Top Back from the DEAD! 💀➡️😎

Check out this transformation!

I have a new tool review in the works, and part of torture-testing the tool was restoring the paint on this BARN FIND 1971 Buick Skylark Custom Convertible.

But take a look at that vinyl top! 😳

Over the years, this Buick had been stored underneath other cars on lifts, and unfortunately, nobody protected the white vinyl top from fluids dripping down onto it. Add years of dirt, grime, and neglect, and this top was NASTY!

Normally, you want to use gentle cleaning methods when working on vinyl tops. But when a top is this far gone and the alternative is replacement, sometimes you have to pull out the big guns.

The good news?

IT CLEANED UP! 🔥

Check out the before-and-after pictures and look at how much of that original white vinyl came back!

Stay tuned for the video showing the aggressive machine-scrubbing technique I used to clean this neglected vinyl top and remove those nasty fluid stains.

And of course, I'll also be sharing the torture test and review of the new tool I used to bring the paint on this old Buick back to life.

More to come... 😎

🔥 YOU WON’T BE SANDING A DEMO HOOD! 🔥

Day 2 of our upcoming 2-Day Hands-On Car Detailing Class is going to be something VERY few people ever get the opportunity to experience.

We’re going to take the fresh Plum Crazy Purple custom paint on a 1969 Dodge Charger and teach you how to remove orange peel, runs and sags—and then take that paint all the way to a ceramic-coated, show-car finish. 😎

Here’s the process YOU will be doing:

🔹 Hand Wet Sanding using Nikken finishing papers.

🔹 Machine Dry Sanding using Eagle Abrasives by KOVAX.

🔹 Rotary Compounding using a wool pad to remove the sanding marks.

🔹 Orbital Polishing to remove holograms and perfect the paint.

🔹 Ceramic Coating to protect the finished results.

🚨 HERE’S WHAT MAKES THIS CLASS DIFFERENT

There simply aren’t many places on Earth where an absolute newbie can learn how to sand fresh custom paint.

And if you do find a sanding class, chances are you’ll practice on a demo hood sitting on a stand.

NOT HERE!

You’re going to learn on some other dude’s freshly painted 1969 Dodge Charger! 😳

And that’s a HUGE difference.

Working on an actual car means you’re not simply learning how to sand a nice, flat demo hood. You’re learning how to work around body lines, edges, curves and all the other real-world challenges that come with sanding and polishing an entire car.

💪 NO CHAIRS. ZERO SITTING. 100% HANDS-ON.

That’s how I teach.

From the start of the day until every topic is covered and every car is detailed, YOU are the one doing the work.

No sitting in a chair watching someone else demonstrate.

No standing around watching an instructor do all the cool stuff.

YOU get the tools in your hands. YOU learn the techniques. YOU do the work.

And sanding and polishing the Charger is only Day 2 of this 2-day class!

🏁 THIS IS THE LAST CLASS FOR 2026!

📅 Class Dates: September 19th & 20th, 2026

⏰ We start EARLY at 7:30 AM!

📍 Stuart, Florida

💰 Price for the complete 2-day class: $1,295.00

So clear your schedule, make your travel plans to Stuart, Florida and get ready to have a BLAST while completely flattening the learning curve for more topics, more tools and more techniques than any other car detailing class on planet Earth.

If you’ve always wanted to take your detailing skills to the next level, this is your chance.

And remember—this is the LAST class for 2026.
