🌫️ Canadian Wildfire Smoke Is Reaching the Poconos—Is Your Pool Water Ready?

Even without visible ash, fine smoke particles and airborne contaminants can settle into swimming pool water. This may increase chlorine demand, contribute to hazy water, leave a light surface film, and place extra strain on your filtration system.

During periods of heavy smoke, we recommend:

• Testing chlorine, pH, and alkalinity
• Maintaining proper sanitizer levels
• Running the filtration system longer
• Cleaning or backwashing the filter as needed
• Using shock, clarifier, or other water-care products when appropriate
