DID YOU KNOW? Your Bank’s Online Bill Pay May Not Be as Instant as You Think!

When you pay your Bartenfelder Sanitation bill through your bank’s online bill pay service, your bank may actually mail us a physical check or issue a one-time-use credit card rather than transferring the payment directly to us.

While the money may come out of your bank account right away, it can take several business days for us to actually receive and process your payment. This can sometimes result in delays in your payment being reflected on your account.

✅ Our Recommendation: Pay directly through our website! It's a faster, more convenient way to ensure your payment reaches us without unnecessary mailing or processing delays.

We’re looking to add someone to our office at Bartenfelder Sanitation!

This is a great entry level position, pay reflects that

BUT Hours can be 9-2 to get kids on and off of the bus!

This is a position mainly doing data entry, filing and helping with everyday clerical tasks. Looking for someone reliable, organized, comfortable on a computer and GOOD WITH DETAILS.

WE’RE HIRING: HEAVY DIESEL MECHANIC 🔧

Bartenfelder Sanitation Service, Inc. is looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Harford County.

We operate a growing fleet of heavy-duty refuse trucks and are looking for someone who knows their way around diesel equipment and can diagnose problems, make repairs, and keep trucks on the road.

What we’re looking for:

* Heavy-duty diesel experience
* Strong diagnostic & troubleshooting skills
* Experience with electrical, hydraulic systems
* Preventative maintenance & DOT inspection knowledge
* Peterbilt experience strongly preferred
* Refuse truck experience is a plus
* We also run many trucks and construction equipment out of the same shop.
* CDL preferred

💰 Competitive pay based on experience

Our customers ask a lot, “What can we do to help?”

Well, with diesel prices skyrocketing, here’s one simple thing that really does make a difference: keep your trash as light as possible. 🗑️

The heavier our trucks are, the more fuel they burn. A few small changes across thousands of households can add up to a BIG difference as well as saving on weight tickets at the landfill!

💧 Empty all liquids before throwing containers away.
This is one of the easiest and most effective ways to reduce the weight of your trash. Empty water bottles, soda cups, coffee cups, canned goods, soups, sauces, cleaning products and other containers before putting them in your trash

🌧️ Keep your cart lid closed so rainwater doesn’t collect inside.

🥫 Drain cans, bottles and food containers before tossing them.

♻️ Recycle whenever possible instead of putting everything in the trash.

Keep recyclable materials out of your trash whenever possible. Glass bottles and jars, aluminum and metal cans, plastic containers, cardboard and paper can add a significant amount of weight over the course of a week. Just make sure everything is empty before it goes into your recycling cart, and please, no bagged recycling! Every pound that goes into the recycling truck instead of the trash truck is one less pound of waste we have to haul to the landfill.

A gallon of water alone weighs more than 8 pounds, so you’d be surprised how quickly a little leftover liquid or rainwater adds up.

When you multiply those few extra pounds by thousands of carts picked up every week, lighter trash really can help us reduce fuel consumption.
