FAQ:

-- WHAT CITIES DO YOU SERVE?

-- WHEN WILL YOU ARRIVE?

My standard business hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm. While I can’t guarantee an exact arrival time, I will always make every effort to meet your scheduling needs.

-- DO I NEED TO PROVIDE CLEANING SUPPLIES?

No. I bring all cleaning supplies and my own vacuum, including attachments for stairs, edging, cobweb removal, and more.

-- DO YOU USE ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE PRODUCTS?

I use an environmentally friendly all-purpose cleaner and an ammonia-free glass cleaner. Some products, however, would not be considered fully “green.”

-- DO I NEED TO BE HOME DURING THE CLEANING?

No. In fact, I prefer that no one is home during scheduled cleanings. If you are home, I simply ask that you remain out of the room, area, or level being cleaned so I can work efficiently.

-- HOW DO I MAKE PAYMENT?

Most customers leave a check made payable to A Better Cleaning Service. I also accept Venmo and PayPal. Payment is due on the day of service.

-- WHAT SHOULD I DO BEFORE THE CLEANING?

Please do a general pick-up before I arrive—clothes, shoes, toys, dishes, and general clutter from surfaces I’ll be cleaning. If you’d prefer that I handle the pick-up as well, I’m happy to include that service. Just let me know so I can adjust the pricing accordingly.

-- WHAT ABOUT PETS?

I am an animal lover. As long as your pets are friendly, they’re welcome to keep me company while I clean. Most pets learn my routine quickly and settle in without any issues.

PRICING OVERVIEW:

Cleaning visits range from $139 to $329, depending on several factors:

--- The number of people and pets living in the home
--- The square footage of the area to be cleaned
--- The decor style — whether it’s minimalist or more elaborate (see pictures for examples)
--- The frequency of scheduled cleanings

Example:

Both of the following homes take approximately 6.5 hours to clean:

--- 2,500 sq. ft. home with two adults, no children or pets, and an ELABORATE decor style

---3,200 sq. ft. home with two adults, two children, a dog, and a MINIMALIST decor style

Both homes are $239 per visit

General Cleaning Services



All Rooms

Dusting light fixtures, window sills and grills, shelves, built-ins, pictures, doors, trim, baseboards, outlet and light switch covers, vent covers, knickknacks, collectibles, most other décor, and surfaces of electronic equipment and furniture that can easily be reached up to eight feet from the floor. Surfaces listed above will also be spot cleaned as necessary. Examples of this may be rings from a glass, marks on doors around door k***s, and light switch covers. Windows and all other glass and mirrors will be spot cleaned. Vacuum flooring and stairs. Shake or vacuum rugs.



Kitchens

Dusting as listed above. Cleaning the front, top, and exposed sides of large appliances, counter top appliances, counters, tables, chairs, and the inside of the microwave. Cabinets and cupboards will be spot cleaned. Vacuum and wash flooring.



Bathrooms

Dusting as listed above. Cleaning and disinfecting sinks, tubs, showers, counter tops, and toilets. Spot cleaning the front and other exposed sides of vanities. Windows and all other glass will be spot cleaned. Mirrors will be fully cleaned. Vacuum and wash flooring. Shake or vacuum rugs.



Laundry Rooms and Entries

Dusting as listed above. Vacuum and wash flooring. Shake or vacuum rugs.



Extras

All items above are figured in our general cleaning price. I can always add extras and design a cleaning package to fit your needs. Examples of extras would be emptying garbage containers, spot cleaning walls, vacuuming furniture, cleaning the inside of display cases and buffets, bed making, and general pick-up before a cleaning (clothes, toys, dishes, clutter). Please ask if there is something else you may be looking for that is not listed.

TUB SCUM?!?

A quick, easy and inexpensive cleaning tip:

Several customers have asked me for an easy way to remove tub scum (ring around the tub) from soap, oils and bath salts. Since most of these products leave an oily or greasy residue, the cleaner should be a grease-buster. The best I have found is Dawn dish soap.

I use a blue non-scratch Scotch-Brite sponge. Soak the sponge with water, add a dab of Dawn to the scrubber-side of the sponge, squeeze to create some lather and scrub lightly. Rinse very well. When I am cleaning for other people, I usually go over the tub again quickly with a regular cleaner, just to make sure all the Dawn residue is gone, but you may not find this necessary.

Disclaimers (of-course):

Although I have not had any problems with damage to tubs or fixtures using Dawn and the blue Scotch-Brite, it is always a good idea to test a small area of all surfaces first, especially on high-end fixtures and around natural stone.

If you have to climb into your large tub to clean it, be very careful and don’t step on any soapy areas as the Dawn on fiberglass or porcelain is very slippery. I’ve found it works best to clean half the tub, rinse very well and then clean the other half, so you don’t have to stand on the suds.
