🚨 YELLOWJACKETS + A TRAMPOLINE = NOT A GOOD COMBINATION

We treated and exterminated an inground yellowjacket nest today located right next to a child’s trampoline.

⚠️ If you find a nest near a play area:

• Keep kids and pets away from the area
• Don’t disturb the nest or entrance
• Avoid mowing or creating vibrations nearby
• Give the treatment time to work

Yellowjackets will aggressively defend their nest when agitated or threatened.

Your backyard should be a place to play—not a place to dodge stingers. 🐝

🐝 Nature never stops being remarkable.

Caught this little bumblebee hard at work, with his pollen baskets packed onto the ends of his legs! 🌼

Those bright little bundles are pollen he’s collected to bring back to the hive — basically a tiny set of reusable shopping bags attached to his legs. 😂

We spend a lot of time talking about the pests people don’t want around their homes, but sometimes you have to stop and appreciate the incredible insects doing their thing right in front of us.

Pretty amazing, isn’t it? 🐝🌻

🐝 THAT’S NOT A BIRD’S NEST… 😳

If you’ve got a giant paper-looking nest hanging from a tree, under your eaves, or tucked into a structure—don’t get curious. Those little windows belong to a LOT of very defensive hornets. 😬

Hornet season is in full swing, and nests can get surprisingly large by late summer.

🚫 Don’t knock it down.
🚫 Don’t poke it with a stick.
🚫 And please don’t spray it and then run. 😂
