Today is National Sunflower Day!
We have a number of Ukrainians working for us. Did you know that the National flower for Ukraine is the Sunflower (soniashnyk)? The sunflower represents resilience, hope, and unity. Its bright yellow petals and tendency to turn toward the sun symbolize optimism and the enduring spirit of the Ukrainian people.This is in honor of the Ukrainians who were forced from their homes and are either living and enduring the war in the Ukraine or have made their home elsewhere. Pray for Ukraine and think of them when you see a sunflower.

Enjoy an iced tea today in honor of National Iced Tea Day. Did you know that iced tea was first made at the World's Fair in 1904? The maker had planned on selling hot tea but a heat wave hit and no one was buying his beverage. He decided to add ice and people lined up to buy the "New drink." He pivoted and iced tea is a here to stay.

Today is National Paperclip Day. A simple design that has been used since it's invention in 1877! It's been holding things together for a long time.

Check out the link about a school project in Tennessee. The library has a book on it called 6 Million Paperclips.
