Let’s talk about something people don’t always think about when they hire a cleaner.
Whether it’s a regular clean or a deep clean, there’s a lot more behind that price than the few hours you see us inside your home.
People will spend hundreds of dollars getting their cars detailed, going out to eat, getting their nails done, buying coffee, or treating themselves to a weekend out — and nobody questions the price.
But when it comes to having their entire house cleaned, suddenly it’s:
“Well, if you take this off, how much cheaper can you make it?”
“If you don’t do this room, what would the price be?”
“Can you do the whole house for $100?”
Here’s the thing… that $100 doesn’t just go straight into a cleaner’s pocket.
Out of that money comes taxes, cleaning supplies, equipment, gas, insurance, business expenses, and all the other costs that come with running a legitimate business. And then there’s our time, our experience, and our labor.
And please don’t forget the physical part.
Cleaning is HARD physical labor. It’s bending, scrubbing, lifting, reaching, kneeling, vacuuming, mopping, carrying supplies, climbing, twisting and doing it over and over again. The wear and tear on your body adds up.
A deep clean especially isn’t a 2–3 hour job when you’re walking into years of dirt, grime and buildup. It can take many hours to do it properly — and when we leave your house, the work still isn’t over. We have to clean and put away our equipment, wash supplies, restock products, prepare for the next client and do it all again the next day.
So when you’re looking at a cleaning quote, please remember: you’re not just paying for someone to clean your house. You’re paying for their time, their skill, their supplies, their business expenses, their experience and their body.
And if you truly can’t afford the entire service, that’s okay. Just understand that taking things away means taking time and labor away too — and there is a point where cutting the price means cutting into the cleaner’s ability to actually make a living.
And one more thing…
Support your people. ❤️
We will share celebrities’ posts. We’ll share viral videos. We’ll share big businesses and influencers.
But when a friend, family member or local small business owner posts about their business, suddenly sharing a post is too much.
It takes two seconds to hit that share button.
You don’t always have to spend money to support a small business. Share their posts. Recommend them. Leave a kind comment. Tell someone about them.
Because sometimes that little bit of free support means more than you realize.
Small businesses aren’t asking for handouts. We’re asking for people to understand the value of the work we do.
Pay fairly. Support locally. Respect the work. ❤️
And remember — clean homes don’t happen by magic. They happen because somebody worked hard to make them that way.
