Today was about SO much more than business. ❤️
When our friends told us what they were planning, my husband and I immediately knew we wanted to be a part of it. The idea wasn’t ours—we just jumped on board because we loved what they were trying to do. And I am SO glad we did.
We spent the afternoon in Gastonia handing out FREE hot dogs, chips and water to the homeless, less fortunate, and anyone else who needed a meal. No questions asked. No judgment. Just people helping people. ❤️
And y’all… seeing people actually lined up waiting for food hit me differently. 🥹 We grilled a TON of hot dogs, handed out food and drinks, talked to people, laughed, met new people and just enjoyed being able to do something GOOD for somebody else.
I’ve been trying really hard to build Safe Haven Helping Hands, and today reminded me what I want that name to stand for. Yes, I want my business to grow. Of course I do. But I also want people to know there are still people in this world who genuinely care and are willing to lend a hand when they can.

We may not be able to change the whole world, but today we got to make somebody’s day a little easier—and that feels pretty freaking good.
