Well, I flew out to Texas with my guys from to test for my black belt this weekend. And after 12 years of perseverance, sweat, blood, torn ligaments, broken bones, aches and pains for a lifetime and a constant feeling like I’m not good enough, I put those demons to rest and passed my test. The few that flew out to support me, I cannot put into words how much that meant. I cannot believe that I’m a Carlos Machado black belt in Brazilian jujitsu but brother let me tell you; I BY GOD EARNED THIS. My professors and dear friends and have set the bar high and I’m forever thankful for their leadership and support. I got to train with of Five Finger Death Punch. I got to witness 5 Coral belt promotions. I’ve trained with many many people over this journey from a variety of schools and I’m blessed for all of those experiences. My darlin wife Lynn Yelton has put up with so much and been incredibly patient because she knows what this means to me. I love you darlin. I’m forever grateful, forever humble and forever on the mat. Stay humble. Train smart
