Another day down… and another night the skunk couldn’t get back into the hole. 🦨🚫

Plot twist… we filled the hole with dirt 😅

In this video, you’ll see the skunk come back looking for its old hangout spot — but access has officially been closed off. Once the den is confirmed empty, properly filling and sealing the entry point is key to stopping future burrowing and preventing them from re-establishing under decks, sheds, or foundations.

⚠️ Important:
You NEVER want to fill a hole unless you’re certain there are no babies inside. Skunks commonly den with kits, especially this time of year. Doing it wrong can create a much bigger problem.

We were out today addressing rodent activity at this property and just placed fresh bait.

Here’s the strategy 👇

✅ Basement bait was enhanced with JF Oakes lure to help draw rodents down and away from the living spaces.
✅ Unit bait was placed as well, but without lure — this helps reduce attraction inside the unit while still maintaining coverage.

By concentrating the attractant in the basement near vents, foundation gaps, and known travel routes (like shown in these photos), we’re encouraging activity where it’s easier to control and monitor.

The bait was just installed, so we’ll be keeping an eye on feeding and movement at the follow-up.

Strategic placement > random placement.
Control the traffic. Control the problem.

If you’re seeing droppings, hearing scratching, or noticing activity near basement vents or brick lines, it’s better to address it early.
