CME Shine International Detailing Association (IDA) Certified Detailer with Skills Validated (CD-SV) & Recognized Industry Trainer (RIT). What Does Being Certified Mean?

We specialize in automotive Paint Correction / Coatings & Industrial Coatings . Distributor for CarCandy Detailing Products. Hi, I’m Chad – founder and co-owner of CME Shine Auto Detailing. My passion for automotive care started early. At 16, my dad taught me the value of maintaining a vehicle, and what began as a simple routine quickly became a personal obsession. Over the years, detailing became more than just a hobbyβ€”it became a craft. While I’ve been professionally detailing for the past three years, my experience with discipline, leadership, and attention to detail runs much deeper. I spent 14 years in the fire service, proudly serving between two departments. During that time, I held the roles of Training Officer for four years and Captain for another four, helping shape and lead teams in high-stakes situations. That experience taught me how to stay sharp under pressure, hold myself to high standards, and always take pride in my workβ€”principles I carry into every detail job I take on. To further hone my skills, I’ve trained with some of the best in the industry, including Mel Craig, Dan Tyger of Adam’s Polishes, and Josh Pierce. Their mentorship helped push my work to the next level and set a foundation for excellence at CME Shine. I’m also incredibly grateful for the support of my family. Their encouragement has fueled every step of this journey, and their belief in me is at the heart of this business. Whether you're interested in a premium ceramic coating or a high-end detail, I’d be honored to earn your trust. At CME Shine, it’s not just about making your vehicle look greatβ€”it’s about doing the job right, with the same pride and precision I’ve brought to every role I’ve ever held. Being an IDA Certified Detailer means we have successfully completed ten rigorous tests that assessed our expertise in various areas, including Equipment, Chemicals, Glass, Interior Detailing, Leather, Paint Correction and Protection, Wheels and Tires, Prep Wash and Wash Bay, Detailing Terminology, and Safety and Compliance. We earned our Skills Validated Certification by demonstrating our practical abilities to a Certified IDA Trainer through hands-on testing to validate our knowledge. Additionally, we have traveled to California for specialized training with The Detailing Pro’s and Revivify America’s President Mel Craig, earning our Advanced Paint Correction and Revivify Certified Self Healing Installer certifications. Our hands-on training also includes completion of Adam’s Polishes Shine Academy in Thornton, CO, and other in-person training from IDA Certified Trainers across the United States. We are committed to more than just submitting a picture for certification; we invest the time, effort, and resources into hands-on training to continually refine our skills and enhance the service we provide to our clients. We offer tailored detailing packages designed to meet your specific needs. From classic cars to modern vehicles, our skilled team is equipped to handle it all.

10-25 Update after biopsy

Hello my shinning followers! Wanted to keep everyone in the loop. As you know I had biopsy, port placement and bronchoscopy on Wednesday last week. Friday I went from having chills, to be very hot, I got really weak and just didn't feel good. Tara took temp, was 102, we went to urgent care and we were told it would be best to go to er. They could better test for infection and give iv antibiotics. So we went and I was admitted, they took blood did chest ct scan. Everything came back good, although they think I had a skin infection very mild where the port was placed.
While in Er my surgeon was working and stopped in to visit and explain the biopsy results.
Even as I sit here writing this im not sure how to feel, if its better or worse? So the biopsy shows cancer cells have spread to lymph nodes on left side of my chest, so surgery is no longer on the table. So the plan will now be chemo, radiation, and immunotherapy. While this means I will keep my lung, it also means they won't be able to surgically remove the cancer. This is were im not sure if its good or bad. They are still optimistic on curing, they obviously just can't be certain. This has definitely been a roller-coaster and those that know me, know i hate roller-coasters lol.
Again thanks for all the love and support through my journey. I will never be able to explain what it means to me.

10-21 Update

Back home from today's festivities. They placed port to make getting chemo treatments easier, they removed 2 lymph nodes for further testing. The one closest to the tumor has cancer cells, the one across does not on the rapid test. Dr was not surprised the close one had cells, and he feels it will change noting. The only thing that will would be if the other does under the full biopsy test. He also did another bronchoscopy so he could see for himself the tumor and placement. He will be talking with oncologist once full results are in and plan would still be to start chemo next week.

The amount of love and support is overwhelming! It means more than I could ever say. Thank you to each and everyone of you fighting in my corner! Together I have no doubt we will achieve the best possible outcome! Love you all!!
