Early this morning Engine 3 responded to a CO Alarm in a residence. The family was alerted to the presence of CO by an alarm they had installed months before.
Our 911 dispatchers advised the family to exit the home and go to a safe place. Engine 3 monitored the home and found high CO levels throughout. Durning the investigation it was found that a vent pipe had dislodge from both the water heater and heating and air unit.
The issue was resolved and the family is ok.
Protect your family from the dangers of deadly carbon monoxide poisoning by installing a CO alarm that can alert you when the gas is present, 24 hours a day.
