โ๏ธ Summer heat is no joke, and your lawn feels it too. The right watering habits can go a long way in helping your grass stay healthy through the hotter months.
๐ฆ 1. Water Early, Water Deep
Water your lawn before 10 AM to reduce evaporation and allow moisture to reach deeper into the roots.
๐ฑ 2. Check Soil Moisture
Try the screwdriver test. If it slides easily into the soil, your lawn has enough moisture. If not, it's time to water.
๐ 3. Use the Soak & Cycle Method
Instead of one long watering session, split it into two shorter, consecutive cycles. This helps reduce runoff and gives the soil more time to absorb water.
๐ก๏ธ 4. Adjust for Heat Waves
During periods of extreme heat, your lawn may need more frequent watering. Aim for 1 to 1ยฝ inches of water per week, including rainfall.
A little consistency now can help your lawn handle summer heat better!
