As we head into the holiday weekend, the Southwest Harbor Police Department would like to remind everyone that fireworks are not permitted in the Town of Southwest Harbor without a valid permit.

This policy is in place to help ensure the safety of our residents, visitors, pets, and property. Unauthorized use of fireworks may result in fines or other penalties.

If you have any questions or would like more information, please refer to the Southwest Harbor Town Ordinance or contact the Police Department directly.
