Some customers enter our doors and lighten the energy with just their presence… Kenny was one of those incredible souls. With a warm smile and a wise crack, he commanded the room in the best way over the years.

We all knew Kenny well and looked forward to joking with him anytime he came to visit. He had favorites in the store and he was quick to tease and point that out. It made his visits something to remember, every single time. Somewhere along the way, he grew to be one of our favorites as well ❤️

We are deeply saddened to hear of his passing on Sunday. There will never be enough words to express our condolences to his wife Kim, his boys and all that knew and loved him. He was just one of a kind and if you were lucky enough to know him, consider yourself blessed.

There has been an Educational Fund set up in Kameron and Kaiden’s names to honor him. If you’re able to help in any way, donations can be sent to the Kameron and Kaiden Laferriere Educational Fund, c/o the Webster First Federal Credit Union, 29 Trolley Crossing Road, Charlton, MA 01507.

He will always be part of the Ideal Pools family. We will miss that smile, Kenny ❤️

At an above ground liner change this week, Jake had a pretty wild Nature Whisperer moment!

This may never happen again but his arm and hood were a safe place for a baby squirrel trying to escape a hawk. Talk about being at the right place at the right time! ❤️

UPDATED to add: Just to share an update. This little guy stayed on Jake for a bit and once he located the nest and its siblings (and what we think was a parent), he helped it back on its tree. From there it went back up to a safe place again. We did receive contact from a wildlife rehabber (Thank you, Jess!) and we will keep her contact should anything like this ever happen again. Until then, we thank Jake for being a safe place to land and bringing a little extra joy to the end of pool season 💕

This before and after are pure, Fall perfection! 🍂

Unfortunately, life happens and sometimes the pool just doesn’t get opened for a season. In years like that, it is SO important to have a strong barrier protecting it from the elements.

With a new safety cover, this inground is ready for a fresh start come Spring! ❄️

After a lengthy experience with a leak in their liner, they decided this was the year to replace it! So to close out September, we did just that.

With a fresh fill and tucked away for winter, this one’s ready for summer memories to be made around it once again! ☀️
