If your chlorine seems lower than usual this week, you’re not alone. Heavy rain can introduce contaminants, dilute your sanitizer, and increase your pool’s chlorine demand.

Saltwater pool owners: this applies to you too! 💧

A common misconception is that a salt pool never needs additional chlorine. While your salt system does generate chlorine, it only produces at the output level it’s set to. During periods of heavy rain, hot weather, or extra swimmers, your system may not be able to keep up with the increased demand.
