🧺 Wash Wednesday – Laundry Soap Back in the Day 🧺
Who remembers the classic laundry soaps that filled the washroom with that fresh, clean scent? From boxes of Rinso and Oxydol to bars of Fels-Naptha and tubs of Tide, wash day was a weekly tradition. Clothes were scrubbed, wrung out, and hung on the clothesline to dry in the sunshine.

Back in the day, laundry wasn't as simple as pushing a button! Many families relied on wringer washers with agitators to get clothes clean. The washer did the scrubbing, and the wringer squeezed out the water before everything was hung on the clothesline to dry.

Before electricity made laundry easier, wash day was a true labor of love. Wooden wash tubs and hand-cranked wringers helped families keep clothes clean, one load at a time. It took patience, hard work, and plenty of elbow grease!

The easiest way to clean blinds without removing them is to use a microfiber duster or a damp microfiber cloth to wipe down slats in a top-to-bottom zigzag motion. For faster cleaning, use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment or put on fabric gloves to wipe both sides of the slats at once.

To clean a greasy stove top with salt and alcohol, sprinkle a generous amount of salt over the greasy areas to absorb oil and provide grit, then pour on rubbing alcohol to dissolve the grease. Allow it to sit for a few minutes before scrubbing with a rag or sponge, then wipe clean.
