Cruising Into a New Decade

The dawn of the 1960s brought with it a new sense of optimism, and few cars captured that spirit better than the 1960 Chevy Impala. Whether it was rolling down Main Street on a Saturday night or gleaming under the lights at the local drive-in, the Impala defined an era.

With its graceful body lines, signature triple taillights, sweeping chrome accents, and unmistakable presence, the ‘60 Impala perfectly bridged the bold styling of the ‘50s with the cleaner, more refined look of the new decade. Decades later, it remains a favorite among collectors, restorers, and enthusiasts who appreciate one of Chevrolet’s most recognizable full-size classics.

A Target Exclusive and part of a 3-car Racing Champions 2026 Release 2 set, the ‘60 Impala brings that enduring legacy to 1:64 scale. Available in Version A + B color variant, as well as its Gold Strike chase variant, this car still turns heads and holds a special place in the hearts of classic Chevy fans.

The Crown Jewel of Cruising

Long, low, stylish, and unmistakably American — the 1964 Chevy Impala captured the spirit of an era built on chrome, horsepower, and weekend cruising.

Whether it rolled off the line as a boulevard cruiser or a tire-shredding SS 409, the ’64 Impala became one of Chevrolet’s most iconic full-size machines. With sleek body lines, aggressive stance, and powerful V8 options, it balanced comfort and performance in a way few cars of the era could.

Over time, the Impala evolved into far more than transportation. From drag strips to lowrider culture, from classic rock to hip-hop, the ’64 became a symbol of individuality, style, and craftsmanship. Its influence stretched across generations and communities, earning legendary status among collectors and enthusiasts alike.

Today, the 1964 Impala remains one of the most celebrated classics ever produced — and a must-have centerpiece in any die-cast collection.

Chrome, Fins & The American Dream 🇺🇸

Few vehicles capture the spirit of 1950s Americana quite like the 1957 Chevy Bel Air. Immortalized through Hollywood, hot rod culture, Rock ’n’ Roll, and neon-lit drive-ins, the ’57 Bel Air became more than just transportation — it became a symbol of optimism, freedom, and style.

Whether cruising as a hardtop coupe, convertible, sedan, or wagon, the Bel Air delivered V8 performance with Chevrolet’s legendary “Super Turbo Fire” engine while bringing premium styling within reach of everyday American families. Nicknamed the “poor man’s Cadillac,” it blended chrome-heavy luxury with attainable performance and quickly earned its place as an automotive icon.

Now, that same nostalgic spirit arrives in the 3-car Racing Champions 2026 Release 1 set, featuring stunning Version A + B releases alongside their Gold Strike chase variant. Instantly recognizable, this release is a must-have centerpiece for die cast collectors and classic car enthusiasts alike.

Mopar Legends: The RAMCHARGERS Era Lives On

The ‘60s and ‘70s drag racing era was born from experimentation—and few pushed harder than the Ramchargers. With Chrysler backing and crazy power, they helped transform raw ideas into a new kind of drag racing machine.

This Plymouth Barracuda Funny Car carries that legacy forward, wearing a striking Ramchargers tribute livery that blends early Mopar innovation with the wild, unmistakable presence of a true Funny Car. And of course, we’ve got to show the Gold Strike chase variant.

This piece captures the attitude, innovation, and dominance that made Mopar a force on the strip.

Candies & Hughes

Years before there were today's multi-car professional teams in drag racing, there was the team of Paul Candies and Leonard Hughes, and what they accomplished in drag racing truly is the stuff of legends. All you have to do is look back at the final round photos of the 1970 Gatornationals and you’ll see what we mean. Two Plymouth Barracudas lined up to determine the first Funny Car champion at the race, and when it was all over, Leonard Hughes took the win over teammate Larry Reyes. Leonard, driving his brand new 1970 “Flopper”, got the win… What a weekend! What a car!

We’re proud to present our newly released 1:64 Candies & Hughes 1970 Barracuda FC in its beautiful Blue livery and its Gold Strike chase version!

Part of a 3-car set with a version A + B, this legendary Cuda is available now, exclusively at Target!

Stay tuned for a look at Version B!
