One of the biggest misconceptions Mike hears is, "Well, the noises stopped, so I figured they left."

And they might have! But that doesn't mean the problem is gone.

As the seasons change, so does the wildlife using your home. Bats tend to prefer warmer attic conditions, while flying squirrels become more active in cooler weather.

The catch? They can use the same entry points.

Those little gaps along your roofline, soffits, and vents can become revolving doors for different wildlife throughout the year.

And here's something else Mike wants homeowners to know: Not every wildlife problem requires a massive, expensive exclusion project.

🍁 You're getting ready for winter. Guess who else is? 🐭

While you're busy putting away lawn furniture, covering cushions, and cleaning up the yard, mice are just as busy preparing for the cold.

They're collecting seeds, acorns, and nesting materials and looking for places to stash them. Unfortunately, that might mean your soffits, attic, garage, or shed.

And as Mike points out, mice don't waste much time multiplying. What starts as a couple of unwanted visitors can turn into a much bigger problem over the winter.

🏠 Sometimes the biggest wildlife problems start with one small opening.

Gable vents are a common entry point for bats, squirrels, birds and other unwanted guests. Once a vent is damaged or vulnerable, it doesn't take much for wildlife to find their way inside.

🦇 It's October, and we're STILL talking about bats!

You'd think the colder weather would mean bat season is winding down, but not quite! Mike says this has been one of the craziest bat seasons we've had in years, and the calls are still coming in.

As long as bugs are flying, bats can still be active. But once that cold weather settles in, your window for certain bat exclusion work can get a whole lot smaller.

And trust Mike—you don't want to wait until you're hearing scratching behind your bedroom wall all night. Especially when your significant other is giving you that look. 😂
