Great information, especially for Lake Cumberland.
đ¨ WHAT TO DO IN THE FIRST 10 MINUTES
IF SOMEONE GOES MISSING NEAR WATER đ¨
Time matters. What you do right away can make a real difference.
đ´ 1. STAY CALM & LOCK DOWN THE LAST SEEN POINT
Where were they last seen? Mark that exact spot. This is critical.
đ 2. CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY
Donât wait. Early response = better outcome.
đ 3. KEEP EYES ON THE WATER
Look for movement, clothing, bubbles, anything unusual; but DO NOT enter the water unless youâre trained.
đŤ 4. DO NOT START RANDOM SEARCHING
Uncoordinated searches can destroy evidence and make things harder for SAR teams.
đ 5. NOTE CONDITIONS
Time, weather, current, water type; this info helps trained teams act fast and correctly.
đ¤ 6. CONTACT QUALIFIED HELP
If you need guidance or support, reach out. Getting the right people involved early matters.
