BEHIND THE CLEAN
New series! We get asked a lot, "what machine is that" so we thought, why not start showing you some of the tools we bring to every job.
First up: The Truck Mount Wand
This is the tool we use the most. It goes everywhere, bedrooms, hallways, stairs, around furniture, into closets. If you've had us at your house, this is probably what you saw us using.
But there's way more to it than what you see. That stainless steel wand is just the tip of the iceberg. It's connected by hose to a truck-mounted system sitting in the back of the van. We're talking water heated over 200 degrees, pressure up to 2,500 PSI (dialed down to ~400 for carpet so we don't damage it), and a vacuum pulling 200-300 CFM of suction.
That's not a steam cleaner you rent at the grocery store. Not even close.
Here's how it works: the wand sprays hot cleaning solution from jets on the back of the head, and the vacuum slot on the front sucks up all the dirty water as you pull it across the carpet. Push forward, it's laying down solution. Pull back, it's extracting everything. The slow pull-back is where the magic happens. That's when it's pulling the most water and dirt out of your carpet.
Every major carpet manufacturer recommends hot water extraction as the #1 cleaning method. This is what that looks like when it's done right.
