Due to the recent flooding and unsafe road conditions throughout our area, our Tuesday Residential trash route was delayed this week.

We are currently aiming to service the delayed route tomorrow, Saturday, October 3rd, as road conditions allow.

Please have your trash carts out and accessible for our drivers.

We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to get caught up following the flooding. We will make every effort to complete the route tomorrow wherever access is safe.

Thank you for your understanding.

Due to the continued risk of heavy rainfall and flooding throughout Socorro County, Valley Sanitation’s office will be closed today, Tuesday, September 29. However, our office staff will remain available by phone to assist with payments, account questions, service needs, and other assistance.

Trash collection routes will be delayed today. We will resume pickups as weather and road conditions safely permit. Some areas may experience additional delays if flooding, washed-out roads, or other unsafe conditions prevent our trucks from safely accessing them.

Safety comes first. Our drivers will not attempt to cross flooded roadways or enter areas where conditions are unsafe. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to safely resume service.

Residents who need a safe place due to flooding have been directed to shelter at:

Finley Gym
202 McCutcheon Ave.
Socorro, NM

Please continue to use extreme caution, avoid unnecessary travel in flooded areas.

Stay safe!

Severe Weather Notice - Valley Sanitation

With heavy rainfall expected throughout our area, we want to let our customers know that trash collection routes may experience delays or interruptions due to weather and road conditions.
Because heavy rain can quickly cause flooding and washouts in our area, our drivers will not attempt to travel through flooded, washed-out, or unsafe roads or access areas. If we cannot safely reach your property or dumpster, service may need to be delayed until conditions improve and access is safe.

We will make every effort to complete our routes as scheduled, but safety must come first.

Please continue to place your trash out on your normal service day unless otherwise notified. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work around the weather and changing road conditions.

Stay safe and please avoid flooded roadways!
