*You have been working from home since Covid began

*You have wet soggy, green patches of grass in the area of your leach field
*Sewage odors both indoors or outdoors
*You are purchasing a home and need a Septic Inspection
*If you ever have a question regarding your septic system- we answer our phones 24/7

Tip #5 for Septic Smart Week. PUMP YOUR TANK. Proper maintenance of your septic tank will not only prevent sewage from backing up into your house, but it will help to prolong the life of your septic system and save thousands of dollars in costly repairs.
* Schedule your septic cleaning every two years.
* A failing septic system can contaminate drinking water, rivers, and streams
* Bleedouts in the yard create sewage odors and wet mushy lawns.
* Above all else- Don't wait for signs of failure.

Tip #2 for Septic Smart Week. DON'T STRAIN YOUR DRAIN
*The less water you use, the less water your septic system has to deal with. Run your dishwasher and washing machine with full loads.
* Space your laundry use throughout the week. Try not to do all your laundry in just one day.
*Repair leaky toilets (place a few drops of food coloring in the back of your toilet tank. If the bowl begins to discolor, your toilet is leaking and needs to be repaired)

Tip #1 for Septic Smart Week. THINK AT THE SINK.

*Use your garbage disposal sparingly. This will help reduce the amount of fats, solids, and grease entering your septic tank and clogging your leach fields. If you use a garbage disposal increase the frequency of your pumpings.

*Your septic system contains organisms that help to digest and treat waste that is in your tank. Using harsh cleaners and toxins down your drain can kill these organisms and harm your system. White vinegar and baking soda can be used to clean a clogged sink.
