Sidney Transportation offers door-to-door service for school students. We are now offering the following transportation passes for the 2026-2027 school year:

Individual Pass: $400
Family Pass: $600

Calling all Scavenger Hunters! There's still time to participate.

🦖 Go on a Dino-Sized Adventure with the Bookmobile! 🦕

Ready for a prehistoric challenge this summer? From June 1st through July 31st, we’re hosting a special Dinosaur Egg Hunt that you can start right from the Bookmobile!

How to Play:
1️⃣ Visit the Bookmobile to get your special card.
2️⃣ Get a hole punch each time you visit.
3️⃣ Collect all the Dinosaurs to finish your card!

Once all your dinosaurs have been punched, bring your card to the Library to "hatch" your egg and redeem your special prize! 🐣✨

Note: We want everyone to join the fun! Accommodations can be made if you are unable to make it into the library building to redeem your prize.

In this fun, interactive program, readers will discover the fascinating story behind America’s most legendary dinosaur. Young explorers will learn what makes a dinosaur a dinosaur, how paleontologists uncover fossils, and what may have led to the K-Pg extinction!!

Through storytelling, hands-on audience participation, and exciting visuals, children will explore how a discovery made right here in North America helped reveal one of the greatest dinosaurs of all time. Readers will also take part in a dinosaur game show, witness a volcano experiment, and even help create an epic dinosaur battle — giving kids a glimpse of what life may have been like millions of years ago!!

The Historic Preservation Board consists of seven members appointed for 3-year terms by the City Manager with confirmation by the City Council. Four of the seven members must be owners of real estate designated as historical or within a historical district. The Board has an opening for a person who owns real estate in the Historic District. Notice is hereby given that on July 14, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Room of the Municipal Building, 1115 13th Avenue, Sidney, NE, the Mayor & City Council in regular session will hold a public hearing on the following application for license under the Nebraska Liquor Control Act to sell beer, wine and distilled spirits regardless of alcoholic content, for consumption off and on the premises within the corporate limits of the City of Sidney, Nebraska: RETAIL CLASS "C" AND CATERING LIQUOR LICENSE APPLICATION OF The Cheesy Grin, LLC, Located at 824 10th Avenue, Sidney, Cheyenne County, NE 69162 and manager Kristina Davis for same. The Mayor and City Council at the aforementioned place and time shall receive competent evidence, either orally or by affidavit from any person, bearing upon the propriety of the issuance of the foregoing license.
