Just a little information with the freezing weather coming in. As long as the power is still on you can run your pool pump continuously as long as the temperature is freezing or below. If you lose power the best thing to do is drain the water out of your pump and filter. On an inground pool you do not have to worry about draining the pool water down. Remove the 2 plugs from the pump, one will be in the front of the pump and it will have one on the side of the pump. Also take the drain cap off the bottom of the filter. Doing this will drain the water out of the pump and filter so it will not freeze and bust. On an above ground pool you can either drain the water down below the skimmer and return and then remove the plugs from the pump and drain cap from the filter. Also drain the water out from the hoses and store them. Most above ground pumps only have one drain plug, it will be in the front of the pump underneath the pot. If you don't want to drain the pool water down you can also put a plug in your skimmer and return. If you have any questions please call us at 318-221-1337. We will be open Friday until 5:00 pm. We will be closed Saturday because of the inclement weather. Thank you
