Another quick update for yall. I was just involved in a pretty bad accident. I'm not sure how long it'll take to get everything squared away but I'll get everyone picked up by end of day tomorrow. Me and the truck seem to be okay. I appreciate yall!

Thursday customers: having some delays at the doctor's office today. Thought it was just going to be a quick in and out for lab work, but it's taking far longer than expected. If I don't make it to the dump by close, I'll get anyone that I didn't get this morning first thing in the morning. Thank you, I appreciate you all so much.

Looks like it's supposed to rain most of the day tomorrow. Will probably get started as early as possible to try to avoid the heavier stuff. Wednesday customers please put your cans out as early as you can. Tonight even would be good. Especially those of you in Sheridan. Yall stay dry! I appreciate yall!

It's a pretty severe lightning storm here in Prattsville. I'll drive around and get everyone that I feel safe getting, but I do drive a giant metal box. For anyone that I don't feel safe getting in the storm, I'll swing back through when it passes or with Wednesday customers tomorrow. Appreciate you all!

Hope everyone is doing better than I was last week. I forgot to let you all know that I'm back able to work this week. Had to call my father to come help, but we are picking up on your normal days. I'm so sorry for missing last week. The flu is no fun whatsoever. So please, please, please disinfect your cans/bins after I leave this week.

So far, I've gotten caught up on texting everyone that messaged my phone number and am about to jump to FB messenger to respond to everyone that texted there. I still don't feel well enough to really talk on the phone or sit at the computer. So I'm not returning calls or emails just yet, but I will by the end of the week. If you've called or emailed and need to speak with me before Friday, please text. Either here or my phone number are perfectly fine.
Thank y'all for your prayers and support. And thank you for your patience. I appreciate you all so much!

***Very Important Update***

Sorry this is so late in the week. I just don't like making public announcements unless I know definitively the information is accurate and I was given that definate answer just a few minutes ago.

Cylinder 7, on the white truck, was full of and blew coolant everywhere when the spark plug was removed. For those of us like me that don't really know what that means, its pretty awful. The heads are going to have to be pulled and sent to a machine shop for inspection and resurfacing, at minimum. Hopefully it's just the gasket and not a warped or cracked head. Quality work takes time and I'm looking at 2-3 weeks, maybe a little longer for this one. I'll spare you the details for the red truck, but our tenured customers will remember how much of a nightmare it was for the previous owner and I'm honestly surprised that it has given us as much work as it has. But I think it is about done for.

What does this mean for you getting the service you have paid for and deserve? To get through this week, I've rented a dump trailer from Stockton's and am busting my tail to get everyone. So far, I've gotten all Wednesday & Thursday and most Tuesday customers. The kids and I (single parent half of each month) are getting everyone we can tonight and will finish up everyone else tomorrow.

For the next few weeks: Monday is a holiday and the dump will be closed. I'll take advantage of that fact to build sides on my trailer and run route in order starting Tuesday. Puts me a day late but that'll be due to the holiday. The following week (week of 2/23) we will finally be back to normal pickup schedule but still using the trailer. Do please keep in mind that I will be having to throw the trash out of the trailer by hand, starting next week. I'm normally very lenient on my weight and untied bag restrictions. Unfortunately, I'll have to enforce those rules until I'm able to get back into our own truck. Most of you don't have to worry about this, but those of you that use the giant contractor bags or put multiple 13-gallon bags into bigger ones, please take it easy on the weight for me.

I'd like to thank everyone for your continued patience through the weather and mechanical issues. I can't express how much I appreciate you all. I'm still have a hard time catching calls and am not here enough to respond to comments, but please don't hesitate to shoot me a text if you have any questions or need anything whatsoever.

Have a blessed weekend

Posting this as a separate update to make sure it’s seen, as it may have been missed at the end of last week’s inclement weather notice.
Due to the unusually high volume of pickups last week, I wasn’t able to reach every customer on their normal service day. Under normal conditions, I average about 8 loads over my 4-day route. Last week, that number jumped to 17 loads across roughly 2½ days of customers. This required multiple long days (4–14 hours each) plus a full 12-hour Saturday, and even then I wasn’t able to complete all Wednesday and Thursday routes.
To get everyone caught up as quickly and fairly as possible, I’ll be running the route in reverse order this week. I’ve already started with Thursday customers and expect to have those completed today. Tomorrow I’ll service Poyen and Wednesday’s Sheridan customers, followed by Tuesday customers on Wednesday and Monday customers on Thursday.
If you need anything, please feel free to text. I’ll respond each evening once I’m home. To help keep routes moving efficiently, I’ll be limiting phone calls while on route, as they contributed to delays last week.
Thank you all for your patience and understanding—I truly appreciate it

***Update for Thursday***
Looks like school is called off again for Thursday. I realize that the highways are good in most places, but most back roads are still pretty awful. So, I'm going to go ahead and call it for the week. Even if the kiddos go back Friday, there's just no way to get everyone in a day. That means next week is double duty. Please make sure to put out everything you have on your normally scheduled days so I can get you caught up! You all stay warm and safe! I appreciate yall very much!

***Update for Wednesday***
Well they canceled school again for Wednesday. So, we will not resume route tomorrow. Y'all please stat safe if you have to get out. Not sure how the highways look today, but Grant 13 is still pretty rough. I'm sure most of the county roads that get a lot of shade still are.

***Update for Tuesday***
Everyone staying safe? The school has canceled classes for tomorrow and after my trip to the grocery store today, I'm betting Wednesday will be too. We'll keep you posted as we know!

Hope you all are staying warm! I live in an area that is usually the first to lose power and didn't. So maybe we all dodged that? 🤞 Sheridan schools has just canceled for tomorrow and I will be following their schedule this week. Normally, I'd risk it if the dump were open, but I have my kiddos this week and can't bring them with me in these conditions. You all stay safe and enjoy your snow days!

01/19/2026

Happy Monday yall! Just to remind everyone, today is MLK day and the dump is closed. I'll be a day late this week. I'll talk with the judge soon to see if he can give me a schedule for the remainder of the year. If he can, I'll pin a post so everyone can know well in advance for 2026 holidays. Appreciate you all! Have a blessed week!
