“Whose toes do I have to step on to get that account?”
A cleaner ACTUALLY said me that once, and it has stuck with me ever since.
Not because it outright offended me, but because it highlighted how differently we view business.
I’ve never built my cleaning company, property management business, or real estate career by trying to take something from someone else. I’ve built them by showing up, working my ass off, building relationships, and earning trust over time.
My mindset has always been that there is enough opportunity for everyone. I’d rather focus on improving my own services than worrying about who I need to outmaneuver.
The funny thing is, some people see business as a competition for a limited pie. I’ve always seen it as baking a bigger pie.
