Quick little update on the free Shelbyville hoard cleaning transformation video ✨

I originally hoped to have it ready sooner, but there is SO much footage, so many details, and so much of this story deserves to be handled carefully and respectfully. Between organizing clips, cutting hours of footage down, and writing a voice over that truly honors the recipients and their journey, this is definitely taking some time. I have to give myself breaks to prevent burn out and continue cleaning for my reoccurring client’s.

This transformation was emotional, intense, and incredibly important to everyone involved. I want to make sure the final video reflects that the right way, so it will most likely be ready this weekend.

Thank you all for being so patient and so invested in this journey already. I genuinely cannot wait to share it with you guys. 💚

… and yes I’m drinking a beer at 6 pm, it’s been an exhausting day and I’m thirsty 🍺😅

Can’t wait to see this come to life! This was one of our first big clean-outs towards the end of last year! 🏡

Something special is happening. 💛

What started as a dream to create a place where people feel seen, supported, and safe is finally becoming reality.

The Helping House is more than a nonprofit. It’s a space built for real life, real people, and real help, without shame or judgment.

Right now, walls are coming down, demo is underway, and we’re beginning to bring this old house back to life. But soon, it will become a place filled with community, connection, practical support, and opportunities to grow.

From free essentials and community resources, to life skills classes, creative spaces, support services, and programs designed to help people rebuild confidence and stability… this is only the beginning.

We aren’t here to “save” people.
We’re here to help people feel human again.

There’s still so much to come, and we cannot wait to share this journey with all of you. Thank you for believing in something bigger with us. 🏡✨

Definitely enjoying this Clean Girl magic foam 💖 The way it sprays on, sizzles, and all you have to do is wipe it away is sooo satisfying.

I’m still learning what all I can replace with it though! For my fellow cleaners already using it regularly… what surfaces do you love it on most? What do you avoid using it on? And what products has it replaced in your routine? 👀✨

Safe to say we’re both exhausted tonight 😅🐾 After being gone for 3 full days on our big clean-out, today was spent getting a monthly maintenance home sparkling again and finally catching up on my own house too. Now my sweet boy is wrapped up in his freshly washed blanket ready for bed… and I’m right there with ya buddy 💙

Strong Roots may be tired tonight, but my heart is so full after everything we accomplished this weekend.

Couldn’t say no to this beautiful little condo maintenance clean today, even running on exhaustion 😅 My body held up better than expected after this weekend, but I can definitely feel the soreness creeping in now that I’ve slowed down. Thankfully this home is always picked up, organized, and ready for me when I walk in, which makes these refresh cleans such a breeze!

Today was just a simple dust, wipe down, sweep, and mop to keep everything shiny, fresh, and under control for another month. I love maintenance cleans like this because the clients do such a great job keeping up with the weekly tidying in between visits, so I can focus on giving the home that extra refresh before dirt and buildup ever get overwhelming ✨

I know how excited you all have been following along, those who have sent donations, and been so encouraging throughout the whole process. So after my nap I did my best to get as many before & after’s from today to show you all what we accomplished!

We didn’t just remove an excessive amount of waste, we DEEP cleaned every space we touched. Walls were mopped, baseboards and trim scrubbed, floors scraped and mopped, light fixtures taken apart and washed by hand, and every item returning to the home was carefully cleaned and placed back with intention.

It was exhausting. It was emotional. It was intense.
But THIS is why we did it. 💚

This family deserved a fresh start, a safe space, and the chance to breathe again without being buried beneath the weight of everything life has thrown at them. Watching these rooms come back to life has honestly left us speechless.

I am beyond proud of every volunteer who showed up and worked their butts off with compassion, patience, and zero judgment. The amount of teamwork, kindness, and care poured into this home was something truly special.

And most importantly, I am so proud of this family. Change like this is not easy. Letting people in is not easy. Facing it head-on takes incredible strength, and they have shown so much courage through this process.

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to an end, let this be your reminder that struggling does not make someone lazy or broken. Sometimes people simply need support, grace, and a village willing to help them find solid ground again. 💪

Healing can start with something as simple as a clean, safe space to come home to. 🌿

Three long days, countless hours, and we officially finished just in time before pest control arrives tomorrow. I am beyond exhausted, but so incredibly grateful to have helped this family begin a new chapter in a safe, clean home. After all the loss and hardships they’ve faced, they can finally breathe again. 💚

I cannot wait to share the full before, during, and after transformation with you all. I’ll be spending the next few days organizing photos and videos and putting together a final transformation video that truly captures this journey.

For now though… I need REST, cuddles with my kiddos, and a moment to soak it all in. 🫶 Happy Mental Health Month! Healing starts in so many different ways, and this was one we’ll never forget. 💪

Beginning Day 3 of our free hoarding clean-out here in Shelbyville, & we’re finishing STRONG! 💪

What started as a 2-day project has turned into a full Memorial Weekend mission, and I’m beyond thankful for volunteers who are willing to give even more of their time and energy to help change someone’s life.

At Strong Roots Cleaning, we don’t quit when things take longer than expected or get hard. Real change takes time, patience, and persistence, and we’re committed to seeing this through all the way to the finish.

I also want to say again how incredibly proud I am of our recipient. This process brings up so many emotions, but she continues to show strength, courage, and determination every single step of the way. 💚

And a huge thank you to her friend, who jumped in without hesitation to help wherever needed and be the support system she deserves through all of this. Having someone beside you during a hard season means everything.

Today, we finish what we started. 🫶

Day 2 of this hoard clean-out is complete, and what a powerful day it was 😊💚

Today was filled with hard work, teamwork, heavy emotions, and huge progress. We were able to fully transform the bathroom and bedroom, the before & afters truly speak for themselves. The kitchen is getting very close to complete, and the living room is making great progress.

Most importantly, our recipient is pushing through one of the hardest emotional processes a person can face. This isn’t just cleaning, it’s rebuilding, healing, and letting go of years of weight and overwhelm. I’m incredibly proud of her strength through it all. 💪

I’m also beyond grateful for my volunteers who continue to show compassion, patience, and determination every step of the way. The amount of heart being poured into this project is something special.

One room at a time. One bag at a time. One step closer to peace. ✨
