Whew! The heat is on! We've heard of many homes and business with no AC. Here's some helpful tips. With temperatures soaring, it’s important to stay safe and protect you, your home or business during extreme heat (furbabies too).

☀️ Extreme Heat Safety Tips! 🔥

✅ Stay Hydrated – Drink plenty of water, even if you’re not thirsty. Avoid caffeine and alcohol.
✅ Keep Cool Indoors – Use fans and air conditioning when possible. Close curtains or blinds to block out the sun.
✅ Limit Outdoor Activity – If you must be outside, do it in the early morning or evening. Take breaks in the shade.
✅ Check on Loved Ones – Keep an eye on elderly neighbors, young children, and pets. Never leave anyone in a parked car.
✅ Protect Your Home – Extreme heat can stress your HVAC system and increase fire risk. Clean filters, watch for signs of wear, and store flammables safely.

Our furry friends feel the heat too — and they can’t tell us when they’re overheating. Here are some tips to keep your pets safe and cool during extreme summer temperatures:

🐶 Plenty of Water – Always keep fresh, clean water available (add ice cubes for bonus points!).
🐱 Shady Spots – Make sure pets have access to shade if they’re outdoors, or better yet, keep them inside during peak heat.
🐾 Paws Off the Pavement – Asphalt gets dangerously hot! If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws.
🐕 Limit Walks – Take walks early in the morning or later in the evening when it’s cooler.
🐾 Never Leave Pets in a Car – Even with windows cracked, temps rise fast — it's deadly.
