Where did I come up with my business name?

I’ve always loved dogs, and most of the time I love them more than I like people. 🤭

When we got our oldest girl, Novah (the one laying down with the ball), we always called her “the lone wolf.” That was before we got her brother, Bodie. Even though she loves him, she still enjoys her alone time.

As a solo cleaner, the name just made sense. But it wasn’t just about working alone. Wolves symbolize loyalty, independence, resilience, and strength, all qualities I’ve tried to build my business around from day one.

They’re known for protecting and caring for their pack, and while I may be a solo cleaner, my clients, family, friends, and supporters have become my pack. 🫶🏻

You all have helped Lone Wolf Cleaning, LLC grow into what it is today, and for that, I’m incredibly grateful. 🤍✨

I wanted to talk for a second about “ragebait.”

Most of you know I rarely use it, but in the video of me cleaning this sink, I used a two-second hook: “This client fired me for cleaning this sink.” Then I wrote a detailed caption explaining that the client did NOT fire me. The point was to remind cleaners that it’s important to ask before removing patina from copper because some people prefer the aged look over the shine.

What surprised me was how many people never read the caption. What surprised me even more was how many people did read it and still called me names or a liar because they completely missed the point I was trying to make.

I’ve always been transparent that I make money from engagement, videos, and posts. That video made me a couple hundred dollars, but honestly, it’s frustrating knowing I’ve spent countless hours making educational cleaning content that never gets a fraction of the attention. I see now WHY people use it. The internet wants to be angry, and unfortunately angry pays a lot of peoples bills.

My followers know they can come to me about anything, I’ve replied to messages, emails, gave advice and will always show support to my community. 🤍

The bright side? Over 3 million people watched me clean a copper sink using the proper products and techniques. I didn’t try to sell anyone anything, and I definitely didn’t tell people to clean it with toilet bowl cleaner. 🤦‍♀️

A reminder that follower count and social media numbers aren’t everything. 👏

Last month was the highest-grossing month my business has ever had, and my Facebook monetization was less than 3% of that amount.

Don’t get discouraged chasing follower goals or stressing over completing your social media challenges. If you run a business full-time, it’s easy to get burned out. Post when you can, focus on your customers/clients FIRST, and trust the process.

Social media is unpredictable, and sometimes posts sit for days before they get pushed out. Keep showing up and doing what works best for you. ✨
