Update from Budget Window Cleaning


We will still continue to offer all of our exterior services. Window washing, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, driveway cleaning and roof cleaning are all available right now.


We also offer to sanitize any exterior surfaces of your home or business. Our staff is already trained in pressure washing and pump spraying applications of bacteria killing chemicals. This can be applied to disinfecting any outdoor surfaces like playgrounds, common areas, swing sets, outdoor exercise equipment, pool/hot tub areas, deck furniture, etc. We can also offer hand wiping of surfaces too.


What we are doing during the COVID 19 virus.

Safety

First and foremost. We will not be offering any interior window cleaning while the COVID 19 guidelines are in place. We feel this is an obvious step for the safety of our staff and our clients. Most of our estimates can be done by looking at your home online. If an estimate requires a visit to your home or business we will not need to enter the building or meet with you in person. We will communicate with you to let you know when we will be on your property for any estimates. Estimates and invoices can be sent by email and payments can be made online or over the phone.


Our staff is being trained and updated daily on the latest guidance from the state and federal government. We are using gloves and proper social distancing while cleaning. We are driving in separate vehicles and wearing masks. Each crew is carrying disinfecting wipes.
We understand this is a difficult time for all of our clients as it is for us and our staff. We appreciate your business and continued loyalty.

Impact of Climate Change on Gutter Cleaning in NEO!
The window of time from when the leaves drop until the first freeze is nearing zero. This creates problems and needs to be addressed and we will do that here at Budget Window Cleaning Company so all property managers will be able to communicate with their boards and explain the new reality and maintain their valued relationships.
We clean gutters and ream all downspouts for 80 residential homeowner and condo associations as well as individual homeowners. We appreciate all the managers and boards we have worked for the past 23 years.
From 1995 until 2013 all leaves have fallen by November 7 each fall. Then in mid-December the weather changes and we are frozen in. The six week window allows us to complete all work.
Then in 2014 the leaves fell a week later than normal about November 14 and November 21 in 2015 and November 27 in 2016 and now December 10th here in 2017. Our six week gutter cleaning season which worked out well for us for 19 years is now gone. My hope is that this trend does not continue, but I don't think so.
Some of our properties asked us to clean the gutters even though all leaves weren't completely down yet. This was a good idea. My recommendation for the future is to have us clean before the freeze and another cleaning in the spring. We still have some associations left to finish and will keep working anytime there is a thaw throughout the winter.
We have 12 excellent workers for most of the year and add another 15 temporary workers for the fall.
When the freeze hits, the gutter systems are frozen and not being used anyway. When the temperature rises above 32 the gutters still need time to thaw out. The roofs may look clear of snow but the gutters hold in the cold longer, like a refrigerator. We need hours of warm weather before we are able to remove frozen leaves and debris.
