I love Facebook memories for this very reason. I remember making this post like it was yesterday. I had my youngest son just one month later and shortly after that I finally decided to give that cleaning business idea a shot.

I made a few posts in some local groups, found a handful of clients and got to work. Those first few clients turned into word of mouth referrals, and eventually I decided to make this Facebook business page and ask a few friends to like it and support me.

Fast forward 6 years and this cleaning business has become everything I couldn't stop thinking about back then.

It really was a great way for me to meet so many wonderful people, put the hard work in and make a life for my kids and I.

I think that's why so many of my cleaning posts end with me talking about how grateful I am. Because I really, truly am. My clients have shown me so much grace over the years. I'm not perfect, but I'm hardworking and honest, and I think those two things have gotten me further than perfection ever could.

Now if only I could figure out how to clone myself 🤣

Things I do to make a house look, smell & FEEL clean:

• My favorite. open the windows while cleaning!

• Use an air purifying vacuum to get dust out of the air.

• Clean vacuum filters, hoses and brush rolls regularly.

• Edge vacuum along baseboards and into corners.

• Empty trash and spray/sanitize and rinse the trash cans + liners.

• Sanitize the toilet brush after every use.

• Pop off the toilet seat and clean around the hinges and base. It’s super easy to do and really makes a difference.

• Wash off bottles and other items sitting on counters and in showers.

• Clean the walls around the toilet and bathroom areas.

• Polish wood, stainless steel and glass.

• Clean behind and under appliances every few months.

• Clean walls in hightouch areas around light switches, door frames and entryways.

• Clean under all floor mats..every time.

• Clean the sink drain, disposal and drain stopper thing.

• Vacuum and mop floors more than once when needed to get them properly cleaned and rinsed. Finish with a dry mop for streak free floors 👌🏼

• Vacuum furniture creases and under cushions.

It’s usually not one big project that makes a house feel really clean..it’s all the little things added together. The details make the difference!

It’s been a long summer of Airbnb turnovers, keeping up with a few of my regulars, and soaking up all the extra time with my own kiddos, but I’m sooo ready to get back to some good deep cleans. They really are my favorite 👌🏼

I know I say it every time, but nothing beats an empty house where I can just clean like a mad woman and my clients get to come home to a nice clean house lol

This shower was probably my favorite part of a recent deep clean. If you use bar soap, you already know how quickly that buildup takes over the walls and glass 😅 Sooo satisfying when it all comes clean though!

Anyways, if ya need me let me know. Now that the little mess makers are back in school, it’s the perfect time for a good deep clean 💪🏼

I WILL make time tonight to sit down and go over my schedule and respond to messages. It’s so hard during summertime when my kids have to be a million different places and I work and drive all day long so there’s not much time left for thinking at the end of the day lol being a single mom and solo business owner is not for the weak 🙃 I always feel like I’m forgetting something.

I am finalllly cleared to get back to work full time 🙌🏼

As always, thank you all soo very much for being patient with me. I’m finally feeling like myself again. I’ll never ever take my health for granted after this, I’ll tell ya that 😅

I’ve missed cleaning so much and I’m happy to be back at it. Looking forward to seeing all of my wonderful clients and getting back into my routine.

It’s finally feeling like summer and the perfect time for a deep clean ☀️

I wanted to apologize for being so quiet lately. I’ve been dealing with some health issues and have been much sicker than expected, which has unfortunately caused me to miss work and fall behind on messages.

I truly appreciate the patience and understanding so many of my clients have shown throughout the last couple weeks. It means more than you ever know.

Cleaning is a very physical job, and I never want to provide anything less than my best work. I’m known for being able to always make it work and lately I’ve just had to make some difficult scheduling adjustments while I focus on getting better.

I’m slowly working my way back and will be catching up on messages and scheduling as soon as I’m able.
