Roof Repair in Howard County, Maryland

We just completed a roof repair in Howard County. The roof was leaking along the wall because it had two layers of shingles, and the wall was not flashed correctly.
It’s a common mistake we see when a roofer installs a second layer of shingles, reuses the old flashing, and doesn’t tie everything together correctly.
We removed the damaged materials down to the plywood and installed new plywood, ice and water shield underlayment, and new shingles. We then properly tied the shingles into the step flashing to help prevent future leaks.
