HI If you have a salt system & you get an error code that says LOW SALT, or chemistry test strip says "low/no Chlorine"; do not add a bag of salt or chlorine, you probably have HIGH Phosphates, the county started adding phosphates to condition the water lines/pipes!!!! You will need to buy a separate kit, the standard one does not include it. You can buy it on Amazon for $9.99, MAKE SURE it is "Phosphate Test Kit"

REMINDER: During a Hurricane, do not repeat do not lower the level of your water in your pool. the ground underneath the pool is so saturated with rain; the weight of the water inside the pool keeps the pool in the ground . If you take water out of the pool, it could pop out of the ground and all you can do then is build a new pool or fill it in . if it overflows onto the deck it's not a big deal because it's raining on the deck right now and it comes over the top so slowly , it would not surge over the pool onto the deck

Having problems finding liquid chlorine or tabs since the Manufacturing plant burned down last year?? Here's a solution!

Salt Water Pool Advantages

* No more wasted time in lugging jugs & trips to pick up liquid chlorine.
* Because they have lower chlorine levels, salt water pools are much gentler on the eyes and skin.
* Research indicates that salt water systems may be safer than chlorine pools, which force owners to store and handle unsafe chemicals. Likewise, studies suggest that regular exposure to heavily chlorinated swimming pools could pose long-term risks.
*Salt water pools produce softer-feeling water, which many find desirable.
*Because the salt cells in a salt water system only produce chlorine as needed, the pools require far less maintenance when compared to traditional chlorinated swimming pools.

Here's what we consider to be the top 5 benefits of a Variable Speed Pool Pump (VSP):

*Energy Savings = $$ in your wallet. with a variable speed pump a pool owner can circulate their water at lower flow rates for a more prolonged period of the day without added energy consumption. This study by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory confirms that variable speed pumps are significantly more energy efficient than single speed pumps.
*Better Filtration = improved water clarity.
*Flexible Programming = better user experience.
*Less Noise = happy neighbors.
*Longer Warranties = peace of mind.

REMINDER: If your salt system isn't generating chlorine, take a sample of your water to Pinch a Penny or store of your choice and have them check the levels of: stabilizer, Phosphates & salt (they will not test for phosphates unless you ask them to). Many people are having very high levels of phosphates this year. If they are all good, call us @ 321-704-0685 for a service call.

DO NOT LOWER THE WATER LEVEL IN YOUR POOL DURING A HURRICANE OR TROPICAL STORM!!! The strong winds that occur can cause hydrostatic pressure beneath your in-ground pool, potentially causing it to pop out of the ground. The water acts as an anchor to weigh it down, and also protects your pool's finish against damage from flying debris. If it overflows THAT IS OKAY, it will run off into the yard eventually.

During a hurricane, do not lower the water in your pool!! It is perfectly OK for water to overflow onto your deck it will cause no harm. Remember, turn off your whole system when the hurricane is coming ashore and put a floater with a 3 inch chlorine tab to prevent it from turning green

Remember in winter: 1. Continue cleaning Keep your filter clean and vacuum as usual. Even though you are probably using your swimming pool less frequently during the winter months, if at all, it is still important to maintain a cleaning routine. Empty debris traps every few days to prevent leaves and rubbish from building up and clogging your pool’s filtration system. 2. Monitor water level Due to evaporation, you may need to add water. As rainfall decreases and chilly days become more common, the water in your pool will begin to evaporate. Don’t be surprised if your water level drops 1-1.5" It could be more if you live beachside, no screen room or trees to block wind. To prevent your pool’s water level from getting too low, monitor it and add water as needed. 3. Prevent algae build-up Test the water and keep it circulating. Even in winter, many areas of Florida are prone to algae bloom, due to fluctuating temperatures and weather conditions. To prevent algae build-up: Test your swimming pool’s water chemistry and balance as needed. Since the water temperature will likely be cooler and there will be less people in the pool, you can reduce the chlorine level slightly. Set the circulation pump to run 4-6 hours per day to keep the water circulating. 4. Invest in a pool heater Enjoy your pool to the max, even when it’s chilly out. Please call 321-704-0685 to discuss.
