Smooth-wall metal duct moves air better and doesn't hold onto lint the same way. If your dryer connects with crinkly foil behind the machine, it's worth a look.

Packed plastic under-eave vent → upgraded white termination with built-in critter guard. Lint was pushing out the side grates; pests and debris had a clear path in. We swapped the clogged plastic for a proper hooded end with a protective mesh so exhaust stays free and critters stay out.

Two exhaust paths. Same story twice.

Top: wall louver packed so full the lint was pouring out between the flaps — cleared to a clean open grille.
Bottom: rooftop hood with the screen plastered shut in matted lint — screen out, path open, dryer can breathe again.

When wall and roof vents are both choked, heat and lint have nowhere to go. Clearing both restores airflow end to end.
