I have a client who when we first met and I did the walkthrough wanted me to sit so we could talk. My usual walkthroughs are 10 minutes at the most and I’m out the door. This walkthrough was about an hour and a half. We got along great. This was 4-5 years ago. He’s 95 now, can’t really see anymore, and his hearing isn’t as great either. Today while I was at his home he was listening to Frank Sinatra and was telling me stories of seeing Frank Sinatra in person, and Doris Day perform, before she became an actress. Even at 95 he’s still super sassy, but so respectful. He asks how I’m doing, and about my family. He always makes sure I got my payment, and a bonus at the holidays. I only see him once a month and I know at some point I won’t see him at all. One thing I try to do when I’m there is to listen because his stories matter, and getting a peek into his life has been fun. I’m not even sure why I’m sharing this, but today it was nice to hear about a life I don’t know and hearing more of his story.

This month marks 10 years since I started my business. While a few of those years were under a different name Cleaning Witch LLC has been in charge the majority of that time.

In the last 10 years we’ve evolved from lots of vacation rentals all over Clatsop county to a more janitorial and residential focus in a much smaller service.

We’ve lost clients due to death or moves or just needing to part ways. We’ve seen new family members brought in, some being babies, and of course our furry family.

The majority of the clientele that I still see every month have been with us for many years, and even one of you since the beginning.

I’m always striving to learn new things, and take on new challenges. At some point I really hope to do more with my cleaning line.

So thank you to those of you who have supported us along the way! We wouldn’t be here without you, and this business wouldn’t be where it is without my wonderful staff.

We are hiring! This is a janitorial position located in Astoria and Warrenton.
*Evenings
*Very rarely will a weekend day be needed
*20-25 hours a week
*Must pass a background check, drug test, and have fingerprints on file with the Clatsop County Sheriff’s Department.
*reliable transportation
*set schedule
*experience not required, but preferred
*attention to detail
* most holidays off
*$21/hour to start with probable raise after training period of 60-90 days.
*must be at least 18 years old

I’m really looking for someone who is self motivated, can stay on task, and isn’t afraid to work hard, and can take constructive criticism. We take pride in our work and it shows.
