T&T Clean-up

I can't stop watching the news about the damage caused by Hurricane Helene.
It is going to take some monster tractors and bulldozers to clear the roadways. They should send them from quarries and mines.
Use them to pile up the fields and rivers of wood rubble then push the rubble into huge pits. Then cover the pits with the mud or sand removed from roads and homes. Burning is not an option.

Duties of the Seaside Art and History Commission:

SA&HC meets once a month on the 2nd Tuesday at 5:45 pm at the Oldemeyer Center in the Seahorse Conference room. We discuss Art and History with updates on the Avery Gallery progress on our projects (murals,utility Box wraps, Archive inventory, best artistic house, a home for the Seaside Archives, Ft. Ord Museum & Cultural Center) Every 2 months help with the Art Out and Art Installation at City of Seaside, California - City Hall Avery Gallery on Friday and Saturday. Attend the Art Receptions and help set up and clean up the refreshments.

I need HELP to finish installing the YOUTH ART EXHIBIT at Seaside City Hall. I will be there at 11 o'clock tomorrow mornin. We worked very hard today but could not finish before everyone had to go. So I am asking art teachers to volunteer their time so we can get this wonderful exhibit up before Monday. It's all laid out but I can't do it by myself. Please come to my rescue like you did at the County Fair!

I need your help because I am looking for:
1. Art that features the Black History of Seaside and Fort Ord with images of notable black residents and honoring their memories

2. Paintings done from Photos of buildings that are gone that were part of our Black History (The Pit)

3. Event posters or invitations

4. Paintings inspired from the memories of longtime Black residents.

All 2024 Black History Exhibit artwork must be recognizable as historical African American history.
