In preparation for the storm, be sure to pre shock your pool with at least 2 lbs / 2 bags, make sure all your deck drains are clear, and set your pool pump to run at a higher speed overnight until the storm blows through. This will prevent your pool from turning green and your backyard from flooding.
Also if necessary, be prepared to drain water on your pool. You can easily do this on Sand and DE filters by switching your multiport valve to waste, and switching your pump to high.
The day after the storm, be sure to quickly skim, vacuum and remove all debris from the pool surface and floor and empty your skimmer baskets. Brush your walls and floor, shock again and allow your pump to run on high for the of the day. By following these instructions you will avoid a costly green to clean in the days and weeks to follow.
If you need any pool system or plumbing repairs after the storm, please text or call Poseidon for support. Stay safe and stay dry.
