☀️ Running your pool pump 4 hours a day in an Arizona summer? That's how you end up with hazy water, scale on the salt cell, and a recovery call in August.

Here's the deal: from June through September, most North Valley pools need 8–12 hours of runtime a day. A handy shortcut we use on the truck — one hour of pump time for every 10 degrees of expected afternoon high. A 110° June day? That's about 11 hours.

But hours alone aren't the whole story. UV burns through chlorine fast, algae can bloom in 48 hours, and one haboob dumps a chlorine-eating load into your water. The pump has to keep up — or the chemistry never catches up.
