I will never again accept living with someone whose anger makes me feel tense, uneasy, or unsafe in my own home.
A home is meant to be a refuge—a space where you can exhale, unwind, and fully be yourself. It should never feel like you’re constantly tiptoeing, measuring every word and action just to keep the peace.
I’ve come to understand that anger, intimidation, and hostility aren’t expressions of love or passion—they’re forms of control. No one should have to give up their peace, joy, or sense of security to hold onto a relationship.
From here on, I choose tranquility over turmoil, respect over fear, and peace over constant strain. My home, my heart, and my mind are meant to feel safe—never threatened.
