If chemical runs through it, it needs to be flushed. Period.
One of the most important things you can do to protect your equipment is thoroughly flush every component that comes in contact with chemical.
There are two ways to build a proper flush system:
* Manual flushing with 3-way ball valves
* Remote flushing with 12-volt 3-way ball valves
What you are looking at here is a complete setup with both options:
* Manual and 12-volt soft-wash flushing
* Manual and 12-volt downstream-injector flushing
And when we say flush the system, we do not mean run water through it for 30 seconds.
We recommend flushing with clean water for a minimum of five minutes.
You already have to rinse the property after applying chemical, so during that rinse time, your system should be pulling clean water and flushing the chemical out of the equipment.
On the soft-wash side, the 3-way valve is installed between the water and chemical tanks and the blend manifold. That allows clean water to flush through the entire chemical side of the system, including the:
* Soft-wash pump
* Chemical valves
* Blend manifold
* Hoses
* Hose reel
* Spray gun
On the downstream side, the flush system clears the:
* Downstream injector
* Chemical line
* Pressure hose
* Hose reel
* Spray gun

If chemical is running through the equipment, the ability to properly flush it should never be treated like an optional luxury. Without it, chemical is left sitting inside pumps, valves, seals, injectors, manifolds, fittings, hoses, reels, and guns—and the equipment simply will not last the way it should.
A properly designed flush system is not an unnecessary add-on. It is basic protection for your investment.
