Mikki is still searching for her Triple Crowner Doggie. Sadie went missing in North Carolina back in March. I’m sharing again because many times, dogs from the south get shipped up to fosters in the north. If you or someone you know adopted or fostered a senior black dog and she looks like Sadie, would you kindly let us know? Her owner has been relentlessly searching ever since she was lost.

Hi everyone, did you recently adopt or foster a black dog, or know someone who has? Sadie is a missing thru-hiking dog. Her owner is Micki, and they started a FB page called Help Find Sadie, Missing Appalachian Trail Hiker Dog. Sadie wandered off trail several months ago, and her backpack was found today, a few miles from where she was lost. Thoughts are that someone found her without her pack and a rescue group perhaps sent her to a foster group. I know southern shelters are full and overcrowded, and often sends dogs to the NorthEast. I never thought to post this to my network. Sadie is chipped and has an airtag, but the airtag may be off at this point. Her identifying features are listed below. Please share with your network if you can, thanks so much. I’ve been following this since she went missing, and I’ve never been invested in reuniting an owner and dog as I am like this. The Appalachian Trail family runs deep. If you have ideas, please tag me and her FB group. Thanks!

Tuesday, August 20th. 6pm!! Its here! I’ll be at Northshire Bookstore in Saratoga Springs. I’ll be discussing my hikes on The Appalachian Trail in 1996 and 1998, and why I wrote a book about those hikes 25 years later. What did I learn from hiking over 2,000 miles? We’ll discuss that as well. A book signing is scheduled right after the talk. Hope to see you tomorrow!
