Did you know the Texas Hill Country basically has its own species of scorpion? The Texas Cave Scorpion is as you can tell much darker than the typical bark scorpion but they pack just as big of a punch! They range from Georgetown, Austin, San Antonio and out to Del Rio and are usually found within 150-300 feet from a cave entrance. Caught this guy here before he could escape!

Cool find of the day! He unfortunately landed in the wrong place at the wrong time and was much bigger when running on the ground than it appears in the picture. It was very easily over the length of the three pennies. Great Black Wasp!
