Please be weary of where you have your items altered. Below the items were altered in a "short cut" style. The material was folded in and sewn. Not that this doesn't work for some garments, but on certain garments it could affect the finished look.
Our approach would be to open the garment cut and or sew the excess material inside the seam giving it a finished and seamless look, so as not to affect the pressing. Though this "short cut" got the job done, if this were a lightweight or delicate garment that bulkiness would be noticeable.
One picture you can see the puckering or bubbling effect after pressing. On the jean, you really can't tell, however the center crease has been altered and is not a true center, not to mention super difficult for a presser to create a center. There is no way around it due to the excess material. Luckily, it is hard to notice these imperfections, but our pressers definitely notice.
We know we are expensive when it comes to alterations. We definitely do not hide that. But that is because we believe in making your garment look the way you bought it and not taking shortcuts. We understand the way you alter a garment can affect the finished look.
Again, for certain garments, if we are not in your budget, these other shortcut methods can work, but just be weary of what you choose to take shortcuts on. Some alterations may not be fixable.
