We are incredibly saddened to announce today was the last day of operations for South Bay Shine Detailing.

Some eagle-eyed followers have noticed in our photos the for sale sign in our yard. Yes it is true. We have made the very difficult decision to sell our home and move out of the Bay Area. The time has come to say good-bye to our awesome clients.

Taking our passion for detailing and sharing it with others has been a joy and awesome journey. We are so honored and humbled to see where SouthBay Shine is today.

Audi SQ5 in Daytona Grey Pearl was recently picked up by our client. Lucky find with the right color combo and options! Despite being a dealership service loaner, it was in great shape inside and out.

We got it properly dialed in with a single stage paint correction, Ceramic Coating and GlassParency install on all the glass. OP (Owners Pride) is the best performing, glossiest, slickest coating we’ve come across. OP has an industry leading 7 year warranty to boot.

2020 Model Y in for new car prep and Ceramic coating. The owner just drove down to the Bay Area from the Seattle area to relocate and plans on taking their Tesla on road trips. Post-roadtrip clean up will be a breeze thanks to the Ceramic Coating. We are not only blown away by the gloss, and slickness of this coating, the warranty included is industry leading. Let’s be real, warranties put out by ceramic coating companies are somewhat vague. We’ve always stood behind our work and ensured customer satisfaction when a warranty coverage didn’t kick in. But with , they are changing the game!

7 year legally compliant warranty covering:
- UV fading
- hard water spots (yes! Actually covered)
- damage from acid rain, bird waste, tree sap, insect damage, rail dust, brake dust, road salts, paint overspray, and fuel stains.
- headlights covered against yellowing/fading

If any of the above happens, this warranty pays out repair the damage and re-apply the coating at no cost to the vehicle owner!

Brand New 2020 Lexus NX300h with 118 mi on the odo in for 3-5 Yr Ceramic Coating. Our client is a fellow Model 3 owner and found us through the Tesla FB group. Having already seen the benefits of a ceramic coating on his Tesla, he was sure to bring his mom’s brand new car in to get protected right from the start. Since he’ll be washing her car in addition to his cars, the coating will save a ton of time as well. Smart move! Our new car protection packages are priced lower due to the fact that most newer cars don’t require as much paint correction work. Model 3 after its annual ceramic coating maintenance service. It’s important to remember that, while a coating will make routine washing much easier, some contaminants don’t get removed with regular washes. To ensure optimal performance and longevity of the coating, we recommend having a decontamination wash performed at least once a year. Some cars need it sooner, some longer. All depends on how often the car is washed and the environment it’s parked in. If it sits under a tree most of the time, contamination may build up faster.

With a growing family, our client traded in their Model S for this 2020 Model X. One week old, with 159 mi on the ODO. That being said, we still had a fair share of paint imperfections to correct. The driver rear quarter panel had tell tale signs of some shoddy body shop work. There was overspray on adjacent panels and rotary holograms all over the quarter panel. There’s something about midnight silver metallic that makes it look so different after a paint correction and ceramic coating. The blue hues in the metallic really pop after the paint correction. The entire exterior got sealed in with Pro Plus. One of the best performing, most durable professional ceramic coatings on the market. 7 year warranty included as well! Since this X is a family vehicle, we finished off with a substantial amount of interior leather and fabric coatings. This X is protected inside and out and ready to take on duties as a family hauler.
