⚠️ Safety first
• Wear rubber gloves and make sure the bathroom is well-ventilated.
• Keep away from natural stone (marble, travertine, granite) — Zep is acidic and will etch it.
• Do not mix with bleach or ammonia.
• Always test on a small, hidden area first.
Step-by-step
1. Prep the shower
• Remove bottles, razors, and mats.
• Rinse glass quickly with warm water to loosen dust and surface dirt.
2. Apply Zep cleaner
• Hold bottle 6–8 inches away and spray directly onto the glass, especially where the soap scum and water marks are thickest.
• Let it sit 2–3 minutes — this gives the formula time to break down scum and mineral deposits. Don’t let it dry on the glass.
3. Scrub gently
• Use a non-scratch sponge or damp microfiber cloth to scrub the glass in circular motions.
• For gummy residue or heavy soap film, reapply Zep and use a plastic scraper or nylon scrub pad carefully.
4. Rinse thoroughly
• Rinse glass completely with warm water until all cleaner is gone.
• Wipe down fixtures too so nothing sits on the metal.
5. Dry & polish
• Use a squeegee to pull water off the glass.
• Buff with a clean microfiber cloth to prevent new water spots.
🚨🚨Maintenance tip
• After showers, run a squeegee or microfiber towel over the glass — this keeps soap scum and water marks from coming back quickly.
• Use Zep for monthly deep cleaning; between uses, a 1:1 mix of vinegar and water (only on glass/tile, not stone) works as a quick daily spray.
