We hope everyone is having a great 2026 and staying warm! We're looking forward to the spring and warmer weather and excited to begin planning for a NEW National 48 State Tour.

We planned to hold a 2025 tour, however due to logistical challenges we took 1 year off. We're dedicated to continuing with the mission of teaching and sharing practical hands-on skills & knowledge to help preserve America's cemeteries and graveyards.

Please consider becoming an event host for a location as part of the 2026 tour.

If you submitted a request last year and you're still interested, we're requiring resubmission this year.

Atlas Preservation and Endurance Restoration Products are the primary sponsors and there will be NO HOST FEE. We are looking for additional supporting sponsors including individuals or companies who are willing to help fuel the mission.

🪨 Marble: How It Forms & Why Household Cleaners Damage It

Marble may look tough, but it has a delicate origin story. It actually begins as limestone deep underground. Over millions of years, extreme heat and pressure inside the Earth transform that limestone into marble. This process changes the rock’s structure, fusing the minerals into the beautiful stone we see in cemeteries and monuments today.

But because marble is made mostly of calcium carbonate, it reacts easily with chemicals. Household cleaners like vinegar, lemon-based products, bleach, and many bathroom or kitchen sprays can chemically react with marble. Instead of just “cleaning,” they actually burn, dissolve, or dull the surface, leaving permanent cloudy marks, pitting, discoloration, or surface erosion.

So while marble has survived millions of years underground, the wrong cleaner can damage it in just minutes.
